Rubie goes to bed

I was excited to see Rubie Green launch an organic bedding line yesterday. I think her popular "East Village" in pink makes for an adorable duvet and I am highly considering it for my little girl's room! The price is a good fit in this economy. I can't stand to see $200.00 shams, so for Rubie's price of $78.00 for the pair is a good value for all that organic yumminess. Good luck Michelle!

Bunny Hop

I've had a lot of living transition in the last decade (by my own default) between houses, lofts, apartments, and so on. So when it comes to holiday decorating, I kind of stink at it. I never felt a sense of tradition like I do now in the current (and hopefully permanent for awhile) house. I think kids do it to you too. So, when it comes to Easter, I'm going to make more of an effort this year. I thought a couple of these Martha images might get us all in the mood!

Now I can only hope my sister in law does some for one of her fabulous events!

This is all I feel like doing lately in my last trimester. Sorry for the lack of posts, but have had lots of client work to keep my eyes open for a few more weeks. Promise some new material in the near future!

Bench Love

This 9 foot visual feast from John Derian Dry Goods is the cat's meow. And at $3500 bucks, I think that is a whole lot of lounging space. Image it on a long wall, with a couple of John Robshaw pillows strewn about. Delish!

Country Cottage

I don't know what it is about the near end of Winter (thank heavens) that makes me think of country cottages. Perhaps its the breezy air and thoughts of opening the doors out to a wonderful covered terrace. My garden at the new house in non-existant. It's basically an empty lot. But I have plans. This Country House featured on Martha Stewart Living is owned by Angus Wilkie.

Upon Further Inspection

Katie Lee Joel's bathroom decorated by Nate Berkus is just so gorgeous and so well appointed in a simple, no nonsense sort of way. Pale blue walls paired with gold and silver accents and a pitch perfect basketweave tile. Yum! And it goes to show you that you don't have to stick with just ONE finish. That is a trap that all of us at one time or another seem to fall into. The cabinet maker in our house couldn't believe I was pairing brass with nickle and a little bronze too. Its allowed and its great. I adore the sconces, anyone recognize? Not sure I do. I love the glitzy chandelier too and the silk ( I think) simple roman shade behind the perfect floating tub.

Images from Brown Button- a fabulous blog from Down Under if you haven't discovered yet. A prayer too for Australia.
