For toddlers? Yes. Did I shell out the $35.00 from Gap? Yes I did. I picture my Gigi off to her first week of pre-school with these and some ballet flats. Please no tears.
with this look from J Crew for this Fall. Gigi is heading to pre-school for two days a week. I'm guessing I'll be sobbing the first week or two. At least we are heading to the beach for a week. I'm thinking thick black tights, ankle length boots, black trousers, and skinny belts all have to be in this year's repertoire. And of course this yellow coat and some men's ties. You?
For Flipping Out Season Three. Are you tuning in? Jeff, Jenni, Ryan, Zoila. And Monkey of course. I'm so happy and my Tivo is set for the only show I feel like watching.
About a simple drape tied back ever so perfectly with a stunning drapery fixture, no? This one comes from designer Ryan Korban and image is from This Is Glamorous blog.
To Alison at My Little Happy Place, for this amazing post on three creative designers with myself included! Alison herself is multi-talented when it comes design and pretty much everything else she does. This gorgeous mom is living in Brazil with her family, adding creative flair to everything she touches. I'm hooked!
I've been absent. This summer is kind of kicking my butt. The economy lent itself to a nice, quiet pregnancy. So work has picked up and now our new addition James is a handful on his own. Don't get me wrong, happy to BE working. But I'd love to soak up the last little bit of summer. Not sure its going to happen. I'm looking forward to dinner I'm hosting at my house. I hope its warm enough that we can sit out at a table like this. I love those candelabras!
Image from Southern Accents. Closing their doors as well. The website will stay up. Domino should have at least done the same!
I had some pillows finally sewn up(thanks Tiffany!) for the house in this amazing Windsor Smith fabric for Kravet. It's described as a heavy duty linen and I have to agree. It's definitely a workhouse fabric and her goods do not disappoint. Now for that bench...
There is a saying that old friends make the best friends. I tend to agree. Our Friends the Turoskys live in the most enchanted "cottage" deep in the forest. They asked us over for an impromptu Fourth of July celebration. Of course we jumped at the offer.
After a night of summer cocktails, grilled honey mustard turkey, fireworks, and singing by the piano it was time to return to the City. Oh what friends we have indeed.
