Barclay says you should have 10 pillows on your bed.

See related New York Times article here:

Maybe I'm a weirdo, but I still haven't figured pillows out.

of course he does, why not make it an even 20 ??

i go grazy with the pillows I have,

putting them away just to pull the covers back, to get in the bed....
then the same thing in the morning....
that's why most days i don't even make my bed.
i am with oprah.
she doesn't understand the bed making thing.

but i would not be caught dead with my room not perfect when i have a guest over.

so maybe 10 pillows are about right.

I don't know about your hubby, but Mr. Steel Mags would do me in if
I had 10 pillows on the bed! Although, I do love Barclay's work. The layering is so magnificent. Almost so perfect you don't want to mess up the bed to even sleep in it!!
Ahhh, the 3rd trimester! You're almost there. I just finished with that...she's 6 mos now.

Hi- I just discovered your blog. I have about 8 pillows; I'm ready to get rid of 5. It takes too long to pull them off at night to go to bed! Congratulations on your baby!

I did a post on this, too! I just couldn't imagine putting them on the bed and taking them off the bed and putting them on and taking them off....

*Gasp* I've overshot the ideal pillow quota by one!! ;-) Seriously, I have pillow issues -- we have 11 on our bed. More accurately, we have 11 on our bedroom floor :-) As nice as they look when they're on the bed, it really is a hassle wading through them all to go to sleep at night!!
